Sitting in for his wife, Angela, Jitu Weusi welcomes guests to Fulton Street’s new jazz club, “For My Sweet”.
Here’s what Jitu had to say about the jazz club: “This club was formed by my wife Angela last July. She agreed to let me have one night – she gave me Mondays. My Mondays are called 'Jazzy Mondays'. We have live performances by musicians, comedians, poets and dancers."
The cover charge is $10 or $20 for special guest performances. The club is located at 1103 Fulton Street Brooklyn. There are two sets, 7:15 and 9:15. "We expect to have Dick Gregory here soon," says Weusi. "This is where we are. We have a good time. We enjoy each other. It’s that special day of the week.”
