Def Jam Celebrates New Signee, Vawn, with ATL Bash

Island Def Jam presented "Welcome Back to Def Jam" extravaganza in celebration of their newest signee Vawn who partied the night away with friends, colleagues and peers. Vawn was also celebrating his birthday and generously gave away 50 bottles of champagne.

Opera nightclub was shut down last Thursday night after music executive heavyweights took over the entire club.

The popular Thursday night regular was completely transformed, playing host to music big wigs from across the country.

Island Def Jam presented “Welcome Back to Def Jam” extravaganza in celebration of their newest signee Vawn who partied the night away with friends, colleagues and peers. Vawn was also celebrating his birthday and generously gave away 50 bottles of champagne.

The night was also in celebration of top music executives and entertainers, Vawn, Jazze Pha, Tricky Stewart and music mogul Devyne Stephens joining forces to form a new management company with the aim to change the face of music. Further announcements on this development will follow.

Andre Harrell, Grammy nominee Drumma Boy, baller Allen Iverson, Ryan Glover, Bobby Valentino and Hell’s Kitchen Chef Ellis all showed up in  support. Vawn also surprised guests with an impromptu performance of three of his newest tracks, “She Don’t Even Mind,” “We Gon Get A Room”  and “Vawn Mobile”.

Towards the end of the night, Vawn was presented with a birthday cake on behalf of Def Jam, as well as being serenaded by writer and artist “Charnell.”
