I know it's the 4th of July, but I'm going to SCHOOL tonight!
Where? "The Lesson" At Arlene's Grocery in NYC...no, not a grocery store, but an underground music concert venue and really chill bar (with groovy energy.) "It's an institution," says one regular.
Arlene's Grocery says about this ongoing event that it's "a night of free flowing jazz/hip-hop expression."
When, though? TONIGHT and EVERY Thursday night at 11:00PM!
Why? Because we need it. Because it's there. Because as long as I live I will ALWAYS support the underdog, the underground, the indie music scene, the heartbeat of the gritty grimy music scene of this City. (Yes, I believe "City" deserves to be capatilized in this intance.)
Now all of you musicians, MC's, singers, poets, writers....who's ready for class?
Arlene's Grocery is located at 95 Stanton Street, NYC 10002. The F to 2nd Avenue is close by.
Milton, are you denying or finding it insignificant that the TPLF attacked a federal army base...
