Life’s Music: Stephanie Guzman

Where She’s From: You didn’t know great music came from Minnesota? Well, meet Stephanie Guzman, born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The 23-year-old Guzman is fast on her way to becoming one of the next big stars to come out of Minnesota. She's multifaceted, strong and opinionated—she's a leader, she's loyal and extremely talented. “I’m not afraid to try new things,� Stephanie, says. “I’m always looking for the next big adventure in life. I chase my dreams full throttle. I enjoy moments where the beauty in life overwhelms me—I try my best to take nothing and no one for granted.�

Music has always been an enormous part of Stephanie's life. She grew up surrounded by musicians and listened to everything from Motown's Greatest, to Country, and Spanish.

“I was that kid that didn't just watch MTV, I studied it,� she recalls. “I was lucky to have a family that nurtured my vocal abilities and allowed me to concentrate on achieving my dream of making singing my profession.� Stephanie immersed herself into every Genre of music and credits the versatility in her voice specifically to singers such as Mariah Carey, En Vogue, Whitney Houston, India. Arie, Lauryn Hill and many more.

Where She’s At: Stephanie believes her love for Literature has aided in her writing. Her life experiences – to find out more you’ll need to hear her music of course – has been transferred onto page after page, transforming true life into lyric. She concedes that in life, "What always glitters ain't always gold."

Stephanie will also be the first to tell you that Persistence and Perseverance will take you anywhere you'd like to go. “I am a firm believer in dreams. No matter how far fetched they may seem to others. Remember, if it's important to you - that's all that matters. Use the doubt people throw your way as fuel for the fire, and don't ever give up on what matters most – you!�
Where She’s Headed: Stephanie is currently apart of MNFINEST an R&B group in Minneapolis, Minnesota. ( Their first single from their upcoming debut album will be released in stores nationwide November 7th, 2006. Stephanie is determined to take the music world by storm and she is looking forward to writing her first book based on her own life story.

The book will be an up close and personal look into different chapters in her life that brought her to where she is now. "If I can inspire one young woman to follow her dreams and to believe in herself, I'll know I've made a difference in this world," she says.

"I thank God for the gifts he has given me, and I hope that my journey can and will inspire others to beat the odds and achieve their dreams," Stephanie adds.
Stephanie's Words Of Wisdom: "A good friend of mine once told me, we all have one thing in common. The number 24. 24 hours in a day. I have the same 24 as you, but it's what you do with your 24 that makes a difference.�

Stephanie's Secrets Of Success: “Success can be measured in so many ways - My number one secret is plain and simple, never give up! Keep your faith in God and He'll be your strength because nobody said achieving your dreams would be easy, but trust in Him and you'll always find your way!"
