"I have spent my entire career at Def Jam, and it is undeniably the most important brand in urban music," said Ms. Peluso. "The goal for this label is, and always has been, to uphold the culture of hip-hop music by breaking new artists and supporting the vision of our superstars.  With the leadership of Barry Weiss and Steve Bartels, and the hard work of our passionate and committed staff, I am confident we will continue to push this great brand forward."
