On Thursday, August 30th, 2007, Community Works presented the gala performance of Craig S. Harris’ TriHarLenium: A Sound Portrait of Harlem 1976 – 2006.

It was standing room only at the Museum of the City of New York as Harris and his all star Nation of Imagination band took the stage for the fourth Public Spaces performance of TriHarlenium.

In addition to Harris and the Nation of Imagination, the evening featured sensational cameo performances by award winning trombonist Ed Babb of McCullough Sons of Thunder, legendary R&B singer Chuck Jackson, and Tony Award and Emmy Award winner Lillias White.
This unparalleled evening of music also premiered the documentary film chronicling TriHarLenium and the sounds of Harlem today by award winning filmmaker, writer, producer and Columbia University Professor, Jamal Joseph.

Presented by Community Works in association with New Heritage Theatre Group and Columbia University Center for Jazz Studies, thousands of community members have attended public concerts at venues such as Harlem Day, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Morningside Park and Harlem Summer-stage to listen to internationally renowned composer, trombonist and Harlemite, Craig S. Harris and his Nation of Imagination band tell the story of the last three decades of Harlem through this groundbreaking music composition.
