The reboot of Roots aired its first episode on Memorial Day, and Snoop Dogg did not belive the series should have been broadcasted. Snoop went as far as to announce a impromptu boycott stating, “I’m sick of this. … How the (expletive) they gonna put Roots on Memorial Day?” a subdued Snoop Dogg asks in the selfie video. “They just going to keep beating that (expletive) into our heads as to how they did us, huh?”
Is Snoop Dogg correct to demand that Roots and series like it go further and tell more of our stories?
