Youth unemployment is at 85% but here dictator Museveni boards the $50 million Gulf Stream jet he bought with stolen foreign aid money.

Yes, the world is finally talking about Gen. Yoweri Museveni, the man who wants to rule Uganda for life.

This was in the UK parliament Wednesday as the Ugandan dictator was arriving in London for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). The parliamentarian who delivered the verbal wake up is Dr. Paul Williams, who is not new to Uganda. He used to operate as a medical doctor in rural Uganda, where he helped develop medical infrastructure for fighting against malaria and HIV/Aids. He is a good friend of Uganda and fully understands the political quagmire in which Ugandans are living because of the corrupt and ruthless Museveni dictatorship.

This MP delivered perhaps the most powerful words in opposition to dictator Museveni ever uttered on the floors of the British Parliament when be said: “Will the government use CHOGM to give a message to Uganda’s President Museveni that after 32 years in power he’s become a barrier to his country’s development and that good governance includes leaving office?”

Thank you MP Paul Williams. Ugandans are grateful for the timely intervention of the British Parliament on this issue. Ugandans have been engaged in a fearless struggle and many have fallen at the hands of the tyrant. Museveni gives the impression that no matter how much he brutalizes Ugandans the West will remain silent.

Now we know that not to be true and are more inspired and dedicated.

Thank God, this message was delivered inside the British Parliament. Had it been in the Ugandan parliament, that member who raised the issue of Museveni’s immediate exit would have been grabbed by Museveni’s special forces and beaten until the spinal chord was broken as was the case with Ms. Betty Nambooze. When 24 year old MP Ms. Cerinah Nebanda made a speech condemning corruption she didn’t live much longer; dead in December 2012.

Instead of heeding the advice to leave power from the MP in a country that provides him with significant financing, from Museveni’s State House you have his demagogic and unpatriotic spokespersons claiming the very respected British Doctor is practising “colonialist” paternalism. In fact the dictator treats Uganda like his colony.

What they forget is that Gen. Museveni is now no better than the colonial rulers of the 1950’s before the country won independence.

The Struggle Continues for Uganda’s second Uhuru.
