The event will feature music and dance performance, an art display --exhibiting the donated work of EDA supporters-- an art auction, food, drinks and raffle prices.

EDA is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in New York and operating in Uganda. The group's mission is to partner with disadvantaged communities and individuals in Uganda to creatively support unique opportunities for wholesome human and economic development.  The group targets projects that generate sustainable income, support education and promote health care.

“I believe that poverty should not be viewed merely in economic terms, but as social, political and spiritual powerlessness,” says Bonnie Nezaj, the founder. "Our vision is to strive for development alternatives committed to empowering people in their own communities, and to mobilize them to have an active role in directing their own destinies.”

The current project Leader’s of the Future assists orphans in disadvantaged households in Jinja, Uganda, realize their full potential through access to quality secondary education and to improve their standard of living.

The objective of this project is to provide scholarships for 20 students.
