Spreading The Wealth Wheels The Economy

For instance, if people have enough bucks, they will enjoy buying commodities and in the process make business brisk and put firms in a position to make more profits. Businesses will pay more taxes and they will hire those who are jobless.

The Democratic presidential candidate´s recently wrongly come in for flak from his opponents for suggesting that there is a need to “spread the wealth”.

Had his critics bothered to understand what Sen. Barack Obama really meant, they would have candidly thanked him for being clear-sighted. We know in business economics that it´s always essential to oil the wheels of the economy by investing in human beings, so that they would have a sturdy spending power or attain profitable education.

For instance, if people have enough bucks, they will enjoy buying commodities and in the process make business brisk and put firms in a position to make more profits. Businesses will pay more taxes and they will hire those who are jobless.

In addition, “redistributing” the national income by setting up a “universal health care scheme” as propounded by Sen. Obama, Sen. Joe Biden and Sen. Hillary Clinton, would enable millions of people in the U.S. to be hale and hearty, revved up for creating more value and wealth by working hard.

Anyone who isn’t in good shape can’t be high-achieving.

Therefore it’s short-sighted to objurgate the Obama-Biden ticket for being willing to redistribute the national income. In fact, Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden intend to sow in order to reap or harvest more bountiful crops. The Bible says that if one sows sparingly, she or he also will reap sparingly.

But if one sows abundantly, she or he also will reap abundantly. Furthermore, we know that she or he who reaps where she or he didn´t sow – i.e. didn’t “spread wealth” – is akin to a Thieving Magpie and belongs to the Evil One. The Good Book says that the Evil One, the Devil, the Arch-enemy came but to steal, to destroy and to kill. So it´s obvious that Sen. Obama is acting upon Christian and biblical – and not socialist –values.

Many cognoscenti are well aware of the fact that the Obama-Biden slate is right, but they don’t pluck up the courage to swallow their pride and to publicly avow that we´re living in hypermodern times – and not in Ancient times, not in the Middle Ages, not in Modern times and not in Contemporary times – of the 21st century and in the global world-village. This new situation requires hypermodern solutions propounded by Sen. Obama.

If this cutting-edge, hypermodern capitalism is implemented under the leadership of Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden; the U.S. will be back on the right track that created the budget surplus former President Clinton left. Indeed, the U.S. will be in a position to go beyond that.

On another score, news analysts and other pundits know that there´re wealthy people in the U.S. and overseas who are willing and game to pay higher taxes. This rich folks know that this would only be peanuts for them, for this represents a tiny fraction, a little of their surplus.

In terms of taxes and government the Bible says: “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God […] Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.” ( Romans 13: 1-7)

People here in Europe do understand that the Democratic presidential ticket wants to cater to the needs of all Americans – including pro-lifers and pro-choicers – because  they’re human beings. The ticket wants to get to the roots of the circumstances that bring about unintended pregnancies.

As regards the economy, some Conservatives in the U.S. and overseas at times deprecate government intervention in the economy; they, however, gloss over the truth that the economist and philosopher Adam Smith, one of their eminent inspirers, never banned government intervention from economic activities.

On the contrary, Adam Smith admitted that there´re some tasks in the economy that private firms can´t get over with. In such cases government ought to step in. If some private firms shipwreck the economy of any country, the government has no other choice but to step in.

So if government controls everything, it will crush us; but if government completely withdraws from economic life, failing to watch business players like a hawk and to lay out enforced and professional cheaters, we will perish.

To wrap up: As we are living in hypermodern times of the global world-village that require cutting-edge capitalism and only one rooster, God´s own country, many folks here in Europe are quite aware of the necessity of one component of Sen. Obama’s and Sen. Biden’s  vision to pursue, under U.S. leadership, a multilateral foreign policy for the benefit of the whole global world-village.
