Venezuela Rebukes British Foreign Secretary

Also today the Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Temir Porras denied that Gadhafi was travelling to Venezuela. Al Jazeera and Associated Press have continually published the statements by Venezuelan authorities.

The Venezuelan Embassy in London strongly rejected the claims made earlier on today by the British Foreign Minister William Hague, who stated that he had “seen some information suggesting he is on his way there at the moment,” in reference to Muammar Gadhafi.

Venezuelan authorities have denied such statement. Venezuelan Information and Communication Minister, Andres Izarra, said
to the Associated Press that “it’s false” that Gadhafi is flying to Venezuela.

To those British media outlets which published the statement made by Willliam Hague, the Venezuelan Embassy requests that they would equally make clear about the mistaken aspect of such statement.
