On Wednesday, January 6, 2021, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. joins a concerned Bronx resident in calling for United Healthcare to come to the negotiating table with an agreement to keep Montefiore Health Systems in their network, and make the health of our constituents a priority.

As of January 1, 2021, the contract between UnitedHealthcare and Montefiore expired without a new contract in place to cover the care that Montefiore provides to patients with United/Oxford commercial health plans, United Medicaid Community Plans, and United Medicare DSNP Plans.

As a result, many Bronx, Westchester and Rockland County residents have lost their in-network access preferred Montefiore doctors and hospitals in the middle of a global pandemic.

The event will take place 851 Grand Concourse Bronx, NY at 1:00 PM.
