For the second year, we wish to reframe what Black Friday is about by celebrating #BlackEquityFriday to show our love to Black-led organizations (BLOs) in the Inland Empire!
From Friday, November 25 through Tuesday, November 29, we are asking you to support #BlackEquityFriday, an online giving challenge that aims to raise the profile of and donations for Black-led organizations here in the region.
It’s easy! Just go online and give to the IE Black Equity Fund and celebrate your donations on social media using #BlackEquityFriday. The campaign will end on #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back.
The goal of #BlackEquityFriday is simple: to build awareness and support for Black-led organizations in the IE. Over 40 organizations have a shared mission to advance racial equity across the region and need your support. Online donations will provide critical funding for programs addressing criminal justice reform, higher education, youth empowerment, civic engagement, wealth-building, and more.
