Clinton’s Bosnia: Lies, Lies, Lies And More Lies

If everyone in the world could “misspeak there would be no liars on this earth. Yes. Hillary Clinton will be ready on Day One in the White House.

Ready to continue the Clintonesque politics of lies and deception that caused the Herculean gridlock with Republicans during her husband’s term in office when they dismissed Republican criticisms of their conduct as a “vast right wing conspiracy.”

Now Senator Clinton has been exposed by CBS news as a liar after she concocted the story about being greeted with sniper fire when her entourage visited Bosnia in 1996 when she was First Lady. She now claims to The Philadelphia Daily News that she “misspoke.”

If everyone in the world could “misspeak” there would be no liars on this earth.

In other words, President George Bush could argue that he had “misspoken” when he declared that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction. Presumably that would exonerate him for “misspeaking” the United States into a costly war that’s so far claimed the lives of 4,000 soldiers and possibly hundreds of thousands of Iraqis while draining billions of dollars from the economy—-money that could have been used to shore up the U.S. economy.

Bush could also “misspeak” us into a new war—-this time with Iran.

Recently Clinton was informed that one person who had been on the Bosnia trip, funny man Sinbad, told media that there is no way he would have gone to a war zone. The musician Sheryl Crowe had also been on the trip. Sinbad said the only danger they faced was deciding where to eat. Clinton’s tart response: “Sinbad is a comedian.”

This is how Senator “Indiana Jones” Clinton described the Bosnia trip last week, as reported in today’s New York Times: “I certainly do remember that trip to Bosnia,” she said, in remarks that aides described Monday as not being part of her prepared speech. “I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

She’s insisted all along that this was the type of “experience” in foreign affairs that made her a more suitable candidate for the White House than Senator Barack Obama.

It turns out that the comedian Sinbad has more credibility than this presidential candidate. He’s certainly having the last laugh. Maybe he should also enter the presidential race.

What makes Clinton’s lie –or “misspeak” to use her preferred term—even more egregious is that when she recently described the visit, she actually used her hand to indiccate how she ran across the tarmac at the airport with her head lowered to avoid the sniper fire. It turns out that they were invisible bullets.

Not only were there no sniper shots, Clinton and her entourage actually were greeted with petals of flowers. An eight year old girl also read a poem. The war was over.

Clinton’s daughter Chelsea had also accompanied her on the Bosnia trip. Forget about the fact that Clinton wants to become president and Misspeaker-In-Chief of the United States and the one to answer the “red phone” at 3 AM.

What kind of mother concocts such a big lie when her own daughter was there, putting the young lady in such an unpalatable position of knowing that mom was lying to the world?

This is a very disconcerting thought.

But then again it depends of what “is” is.
