Victoria Rowell, That's Who!

Victoria Rowell inducted into Who's Who in Black Media directory

On Friday, June 1st, actress turned author, Victoria Rowell, was inducted into the Who's Who in Black Media directory as about 200 people looked on.

Rowell read excerpts from her book, "The Women Who Raised Me," took questions and discussed her life after the Young & the Restless during the one hour ceremony held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in downtown New York City. The event was part of the African American Book Pavilion and was sponsored by NAPS: North American Precis Syndicate.

"I was so excited for her," said DC Livers, Managing Editor for the Historical Black Press Foundation.  "Victoria has been writing scripts on the set of Y&R for nearly 15 years, plus she's an incredible photojournalist and an amazing writer. She deserves to be the first author to be inducted into the Who's Who in Black Media directory." 

The directory lists over 450 Black newspapers, magazines and 100 of the most influential African Americans in the media industry. New categories were added to include Black authors, photographers and publicists.
