Blackbird coworking collective is for women of color & allies; entrepreneurs in business, arts, activism & wellness who understand the essential aim toward diversity and work-life balance.

Blackbird house provides an inspired gathering place with access to workspace choices and communal office amenities and a focus on exclusive programming that is diversity-centric and equally tailored for suits, creatives, activists, and nourishers.

Communal office spaces for women with exclusive amenities have flourished all over the world. However, almost as soon as these co-working spaces grew in popularity, so did the need for diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Values that were touted throughout these workspaces were found to be the exception rather than the norm. The very women these spaces meant to cater to noticed that there was still something missing – a feeling of truly belonging; and Blackbird House is the answer.

Founded by actress, interior designer, and entrepreneur Bridgid Coulter, Blackbird House provides an inclusive and timely alternative to the average woman’s workspace. With an emphasis on wellness and intersectional programming, this diverse collaborative provides the solution to often-times inaccessible and noninclusive co-working spaces.

“I had become a member of other spaces, and found that there was still something missing that I knew I had to create. Being a community by and for women of color is a beautiful base, but Blackbird’s three pillars are what tie everything together: productivity, wellness, and community,” explains Ms. Coulter.

Blackbird House focuses specifically on women of color and allies, making it unlike many workspaces in the industry. Its wellness-oriented values, advocacy-based education, and free virtual programming not only makes it more accessible than most co-working spaces, but they also provide a solution that so many women have been looking for. This new paradigm in collaborative work and wellness makes it unlike its commonplace competitors.
