Bourne Brilliant, the restaurant of these three Black sisters

Lyrica, Zaira, and Nadira are three Black sisters, ages 13, 12, and 9, respectively, who have been making baked goods, fresh fruit juices, and preserves at the first plant-based restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida, for more than five years.

Called Bourne Brilliant, the restaurant of these three Black sisters was born out of the desire of Lyria, the oldest of the three, to cook for her community.

After proposing the business idea to their parents, the trio of sisters joined forces to create a family initiative focused on educating and helping their community eat healthier.
