Alicia Evans has been named Vice President of one of New York City’s most dynamic PR agencies, Lippe Taylor.  Ms. Evans will direct strategic marketing efforts targeting African-Americans for Proctor & Gamble’s Pantene, Infusium and Head & Shoulder brands. She will also spearhead the development of the agency’s diversity division of which two new members have been identified and scheduled to join the division in early 2005. 

Lippe Taylor is considered a revolutionary leader in brand development and marketing communication consulting, trend and consumer forecasting, marketing publicity and promotions, and strategic counsel. Evans, known nationally as a PR consultant for major corporations and celebrities for nearly two decades, has guided clients nationwide under her own firm, Total Image Communications.  She is also president of The Black Public Relations Society of New York City.

Evans has consulted for countless ogranizations, non-profits, executives and celebrities..  Most recently, Evans served as the personal press secretary for the president of the United States Conference of Mayors. Evans has also conducted extensive work with municipalities including The Town of Hempstead, America’s largest township; New York State’s Neighborhood-Based Alliance program under Governor Pataki and other government agencies. 

Celebrating two decades in the industry, Evans’ expertise has been engaged by: Ford Motor Company, AVIS, Kraft Foods, Burger King, Ortho McNeil, Ortho-Biotech, Jansen Pharmaceuticals, the United Nations Summit Closing Concert at Madison Square Garden and the “Harlem Song” musical created by multi-Tony-award winner George C. Wolfe.  Continuing in the performance arena, Evans served as premier PR consul for the highly acclaimed theatrical production, The Gospel At Colonus starring Charles Dutton and The Blind Boys of Alabama.  She has also worked with Tony-nominated actress Brenda Braxton of the Broadway hit, Smokey Joe’s Café.  In the beauty and cosmetics industry, Evans has directed campaigns for Maybelline, Posner Cosmetics, All Ways Natural Hair Care, Dark & Lovely Hair Care and countless others.

In her new role as vice president, Evans welcomes the opportunity to expand upon her marketing expertise. Evans is also co-contributor with Dick Gregory and others in the book The Practice of Power:  How To Find Success In a Diverse World. Evans recently presented the opening address for Mr. Gregory during his appearance in Massachusetts hosted by our nation’s foremost newswire service targeting African Americans, Unity First/African-American Newswire.
