NAACP Brooklyn Chapter President L. Joy Williams will be honored at Bronx Borough President Diaz’s Black History Month celebration.

On February 6, 2020, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. will host his annual Black History Month event.

The annual event will take place at the Veterans’ Memorial Hall in The Bronx County Building at 851 Grand Concourse. Participants will be celebrating African American history and culture.

This event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Borough President Diaz Jr. will honor community leaders in recognition of their valuable contributions to the residents of The Bronx and throughout New York City.

This year’s honorees include NAACP Brooklyn Chapter President L. Joy Williams and TV personality and entrepreneur Yandy Smith-Harris.

RAISING KINGS founder Mysonne Linen will be receiving the “Jonathan Hicks Award.” The event is sponsored by Healthfirst and Waste Management.
