Firefighters at the scene of Brooklyn fire

A Brooklyn mother and her two daughters were critically injured during a fire in Borough Park Friday night.

The fire started after 10:30pm last night, and was called in around 11pm. When firefighters arrived at the scene of the three-story apartment building on 60th Street, they found a mother and her two daughters trapped on the upper level.

"I heard the mother screaming for help at the upstairs window," a witness at the scene told reporters.

Firefighters at the scene had the fire under control by 11:35pm.

"We made it here in under two minutes," FDNY Deputy Assistant, Richard Howe, told reporters at the scene.

The mother and her two daughters were rushed to Lutheran and Maimonides hospitals.

The investigation into the fire is ongoing.
