In anticipation of the anniversary of Governor Cuomo’s March Advisory, which directed nursing homes in the state to accept patients who had or were suspected of having COVID-19, grieving family members will gather at the “We Care Memorial Wall” to honor over 15,000 nursing home residents who died from COVID-19, Today Sunday, March 21st at 12:00pm in front of 380 Henry Street (between Congress St. and Warren St.) in Brooklyn, NY. (MAP)

The Arbeeny Family has been advocating on this issue from the beginning — since the fatal Advisory was issued. In the meantime, Governor Cuomo wrote a book on “leadership” while he was covering up the true consequences of his actions and responded “Who cares?” when asked about the nursing home data.

Grieving family members have received nothing but lies and a dismissive “Who cares?” They are still waiting on an in-person apology. There will be a program of speakers made up of family members who lost loved ones in nursing homes.

Participants at today’s ” We Care Memorial Wall” will include:

  • Families who lost loved ones,
  • Janice Dean,
  • The Arbeeny Family,
  • Assemblymember Ron Kim,
  • Brad Lander, City Council Member and Candidate for Comptroller,
  • Local supporters, and others to be announced.
