Nigerians have planned a major New York City protest Sunday to denounce police brutality that culminated in security forces gunning down 12 unarmed civilians in Lagos on Tuesday night.
The protest will be before the Nigerian Consulate at 828 Second Avenue, New York, 10017 in Manhattan from 4PM.
The protest will highlight: END SARS; END CORRUPTION; and, END POLICE BRUTALITY.
According to Amnesty International at least 12 people, possibly more, were killed when the armed forces fired live rounds into demonstrators on Tuesday night in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital.
