Freedom March NYC a youth-led civil rights organization (created by Chelsea Miller and Nialah Edari above) will hold a 7:00 PM vigil tonight for Black women at the Brooklyn Museum.

Gwen Carr, Eric Garner’s will speak along with other activists in the fight for social justice.

The vigil for Black women will be held in collaboration with: Justice for Black Girls; Black Women’s March; NAN Youth Huddle; Until Freedom; Girl Vow; Black Chef Movement; Fuel the People; and more.

Freedom March NYC was founded by two Black Columbia University alumnae: Chelsea Miller, 23, and Nialah Edari, 25.

The women came together on the 99th anniversary of the destruction of Black Wall Street. They then launched a policy platform called Five to Freedom 2020. They are calling for, among other things: refunding education, creating a youth public advocate, tackling police misconduct, and ending qualified immunity.
