Hot 97, M4BL and The Root Host Special Town Hall Tonight

Tonight the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) and The Root are partnering up with legendary Hip Hop station Hot 97 to host a special town hall to amplify the most pressing issues facing Black voters heading into Election Day and explore the Black agenda launched by M4BL at the 2020 Black National Convention.

Taking place from 7:00-8:00 p.m. EST, the town hall will feature in-depth discussions on voting and state-sanctioned violence with national and local organizers, journalists and activists including:

Panel One: 'The Road to Black November'

This conversation will feature organizers behind the Black National Convention who will talk about the critical work moving on the ground around the nation during GOTV, and what people need to know leading up to the November election.

Panel Two: 'In Defense of Black Lives': The Black Community and the Call to End State Violence

A week after the devastating decision in the Breonna Taylor case, the nation is still reeling from the impact. In this conversation, hear from organizers and experts about the fight to end state sanctioned violence, the realities of defunding the police, and what we can all do to ensure change comes for Black people in America.
