NY Attorney General Letitia James pushed back against wannabe dictator Trump's comments yesterday to "dominate" Americans protesting George Floyd's murder.

James released the following statement in reaction to Trump’s address to the nation earlier this last night:

The President of the United States is not a dictator, and President Trump does not and will not dominate New York state. In fact, the president does not have the right to unilaterally deploy U.S. military across American states. We respect and will guard the right to peaceful protest, and my office will review any federal action with an eye toward protecting our state’s rights. Rest assured: We will not hesitate to go to court to protect our constitutional rights during this time and well into the future.”

James' comment came after a day in which Trump berated state governors on a conference call regarding their handling of the George Floyd protests saying "most of you are weak." Trump also said, "You have to dominate or you'll look like a bunch of jerks, you have to arrest and try people."
