DC37 Slams HHC Plans, Including Clinic Closings

Tune in to DC 37 on TV and Radio: Watch DC 37's "State of the Union" with District Council 37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts and co-host DC 37 Secretary Cliff Koppelman.

They are joined by Judy Wessler of the Commission on the Public's Health System and Moira Dolan of DC 37's Research and Negotiations Department. They will unmask NYC Health and Hospital Corporation's restructuring plan and discuss DC 37's new report "Health Care Under the Knife," the union's response to HHC's plans to close five child health clinics and one dental clinic, privatize the Brooklyn Central Laundry, contract out dialysis services and laboratories, consolidate orthopedic services and eliminate 3,799 public health care workers in the next four years.

The program airs on Manhattan Neighborhood Network, Sunday, October 10 at 7 p.m., and Monday, October 18 at 2:30 p.m. It also airs on Staten Island Community Television, Mondays, October 11, 18 and 25 at 9 p.m.; Brooklyn Community Access Television, Thursday, October 14 at 3 p.m.; BRONXNET, Wednesday, October 20 at 3 p.m.; and Queens Public Television, Tuesday, October 26 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
