Pimps, Prostitutes And Dominique Strauss-Kahn

What a clown. Who will he bring as character witnesses? Pimps and professional escorts? Why not? They have a better reputation than the Frenchman because they don’t pretend to be who they’re not.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn has filed a $1 million counter lawsuit against Nafissatou Diallo, the Manhattan hotel employee who last year filed charges alleging rape by the Frenchman.

Strauss-Kahn claims Diallo’s charges were baseless and that it cost him his job as managing director of the International Monetary Fund and ruined his reputation. Before the rape allegations Strauss-Kahn had been regarded as the potential presidential candidate against Nikolas Sarkozy. He might have been president today had he kept his zippers closed, something he’s clearly not been able to do for a long time.

Strauss-Kahn is an international laughing stock. Even in France, where sexual transgressions are routinely tolerated, he has become toxic. This was clear during the French presidential election when both Sarkozy and the eventual winner Francoise Hollande didn’t want their names associated with Strauss-Kahn’s. Just a few weeks ago, he was arrested for allegedly being  involved with a prostitution ring in France. That case is still pending.

Everywhere the Frenchman has been, it seems, he has left DNA evidence behind; and the evidence hasn’t come from his finger prints.

While he was the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C., he is reported to have coerced sex from a junior employee. A young French writer Tristane Banon last year filed charges that he tried to rape her in 2003. The case couldn’t be pursued due to the statute of limitation even though the authorities believed “sexual assault” had occurred. He also reportedly committed sexual assault in Washington, D.C., in 2010.

In New York City Strauss-Kahn got away on the criminal charges because the District Attorney in Manhattan County, Cyrus Vance Jr., concluded that Diallo had a credibility problem: she had friends of shady character, including an inmate; and, she had also allegedly lied about a previous rape in order to secure immigration papers.

Yet Strauss-Kahn, a habitual sexual aggressor, recently accused of consorting with prostitutes, is somehow more credible? A jury in New York should have been able to decide on who was more credible with respect to the criminal charges.

Diallo filed a civil lawsuit in Bronx County. Strauss-Kahn tried to cowardly avoid that case by claiming diplomatic immunity. A judge tossed his motion out the window. Now, still acting like the coward that he is, he’s decided to sue Diallo for $1 million.

What reputation is he trying to protect or to reclaim? What a clown. Who will he bring as character witnesses? Pimps and professional escorts?

Why not? They have a better reputation than the Frenchman because they don’t pretend to be who they’re not.

Strauss-Kahn’s lawsuit should be tossed out the window.
