NYC Comptroller Liu

New York City Comptroller and mayoral candidate John C. Liu has sharply denounced Mayor Michael Bloomberg's decision to appeal the ruling that Stop-and-Frisk is unconstitutional by U.S. District Court Judge Shira A. Scheindlin.

“Mayor Bloomberg’s appeal of the stop-and-frisk ruling is a waste of time and taxpayer money," Liu said. "City Hall should be working to dismantle this unconstitutional policy instead of trying to defend it. The Mayor’s stubborn insistence on this destructive police tactic flies in the face of all reason. For the sake of the City, Mike, you need to give it up.”
