Rev. Al Sharpton To Host "Unity Rally" Following Bitter Close Primary Race For 13th District Seat

After a bitterly fought race candidates State Senator Adriano Espaillat and Pastor Michael Walrond will join the victor Congressman Charlie Rangel and community allies to make a pledge to work together for the betterment of the community so there are no lingering divisions.

WHAT: Rev. Al Sharpton is hosting a unity rally with the some of the 13th congressional district candidates and local leaders, days after the election, to call for a unified agenda in moving forward and serving this community. Congressman Charles Rangel, Senator Adriano Espaillat and Pastor Michael Walrond have all confirmed and will join Rev. Sharpton at Saturday’s unity rally.

The rally will also be live streamed on and broadcast live on WLIB 1190AM.
