Fredrica Bey with Dr. Adelaide L. Sanford. Her spirit is strong --but she needs support
CEMOTAP invites you to an EMERGENCY FORUM on the topic, "The Media Attacks Against Black Land Ownership."
This forum is a salute and FUNDRAISER for Activist Fredrica Bey. The forum will take place on Saturday August 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM at CEMOTAP CENTER located at 135-05 Rockaway Boulevard, South Ozone Park Queens, NY.
Speakers include Broadcaster Bob Law, December 12 Movement Leader Viola Plummer, Nation of Islam Student Minister Abdul Hafeez Muhammad, Psychiatrist Dr. James McIntosh and Media Activist Betty Dopson. Fredrica Bey is the founder of Women in Support of the Million Man March (WISOMMM) and The Adelaide L. Sanford Charter School.
Bey has come under a recent media barrage from the Newark Star Ledger Newspaper. This attack led to a withdrawal of her organization's secured loans and funding. Now WISOMMM is on the verge of losing over 10 million dollars worth of property they owned in Downtown Newark.
Dr. McIntosh will give a presentation linking this attack on Ms. Bey to similar attacks employed against Black Institutional land owners around the country. Sister Viola Plummer is recently returned from Zimbabwe and will discuss the same phenomenon as it was employed against land ownership of the indigenous people of Zimbabwe.
This will be the first program at CEMOTAP Center since the installation of brand new and effective air conditioning.
Admission is Free
