Glenn Beck: Broadcast Terrorist

CNN’s Zakaria correctly called Beck’s statement "total nonsense." Rather than maligning millions of Muslims, who share no role in crimes committed by other Muslims, Beck only need look into the mirror if he’s searching for a terrorist.

The Fox News broadcast terrorist who makes millions of dollars inciting hatred towards non-White people, Glenn Beck, is at it again.

He recently stated that 10 percent of Muslims are terrorists. He was roundly repudiated by CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, who pointed out that there are 1.57 billion Muslims in the world, which would mean that going by Beck’s calculation, there are 157 million Muslim terrorists. Zakaria correctly called Beck’s statement “total nonsense.”

Beck has made a handsome living painting Muslims as terrorists–as if he would ever subscribe to the notion that because some Catholic priests have molested young boys, therefore 10 percent of Christians are pedophiles.

If Beck’s statement were true, how is it that one of these 157 Muslims hasn’t shown up at his doorsteps yet, considering the things he says about Muslims. Beck was infuriated that Zakaria dared to criticize his reckless comments; in fairness that is standard for Beck–making false statements to generate hatred towards ethnic or religious groups he doesn’t like. He famously said President Barack Obama was a racist who “hated” the White culture. Months ago he also called a rally in Washington, D.C., just so he could trample on the spot where Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. made his famous “I Have a Dream Speech” calling for racial unity.

Beck was enraged that Zakaria exposed his idiocy. On Monday on his show, Beck claimed that he hadn’t made up the figure about Muslims and that it came from a reputable Pollster–on air, he made a fool of himself when he could not even remember the reputable Pollster.

While pretending to discuss a hypothetical scenario, Beck actually snuck in what sounded like a call, perhaps to some of his more extreme supporters, to do away with Zakaria. Here’s what Beck said, under the guise of speaking hypothetically: “If I said to Fareed Zakaria, ‘Fareed, I’m not going to kill you, but I support the people who do want to kill you,’ am I a problem, Fareed? Yes! Yes, I would be a problem! If you said to somebody, ‘Hey Glenn, I’m not going to kill you myself, but man… I don’t have any problem with anybody who wants to take their bare hands and snap your neck’–excuse me?”

Rather than maligning millions of Muslims, Beck only needs to look into the mirror if he’s searching for terrorists.
