Kola Boof will be in Brooklyn on Sunday, July 24th at the Sankofa International Academy, 1670 Fulton Street, corner of Schenectady Avenue, for a book signing of her latest book, “The Sexy Part of the Bible”, a novel.

If you haven’t met this controversial author, who was Osama Bin Laden’s mistress, then you are in for a special treat. Her birth parents were murdered in her presence at age nine for speaking out against slavery.  She was subsequently adopted by an American couple and became a citizen of the United States. She returned to North Africa to pursue a career in modeling and acting.

Kola became a freedom fighter for the Sudanese People’s Liberation Army and as a reward for her years of activism, she
was appointed by the South Sudan government in 2008 as National Chairwoman of the US branch of its peace organization.

There is more to find out about this wondrous, high profile, magnetic woman who takes on racism, sexism, feminism, and colorism with the attendant consequences.  She is a substantial woman.  Her writing is very personal and hovers between fantasy, realism, and symbolism.

She has written for Days of Our Lives and Young and The Restless, as well as an autobiography entitled “Diary of a Lost Child”, and “the groundbreaking short story anthology “Politically Inspired”.

The book signing starts at 4pm.  Light refreshments will be served courtesy of Ollie McClean, the illustrious Director of this outstanding African-centered educational institution. You can’t afford to miss it.
