[Publisher's Commentary]
The Republican Party continues to implode and split.
Michael Steele, Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC) in an interview with D.L. Hughley declared that he is the leader of the Republican Party,
not Rush Limbaugh. Hughley had asked Steele whether he agreed with Limbaugh's professed desire for President Barack Obama to "fail."
Steele disagreed with Limbaugh's treacherous aspirations and he went on to say that Limbaugh's statements are "incendiary" but that on the other hand Limbaugh "is an entertainer" and added he added: "His whole thing is entertainment."
"Michael Steele, you are head of the RNC not the Republican Party," Limbaugh retorted, angrily to Steele, on his radio show, later. He warned Steele to stop trying to be a "talking head media star" and to "go behind the scenes" and do the work he was elected to do.
Behind the scenes? Isn't that where they used to confine Black folks? Did Limbaugh mean that Steele, who is the RNC's first Black leader, should go to the back of the bus? This is just too good.
A few weeks ago, during one of my weekly Sunday appearances on Imhotep Gary Byrd's radio show, I predicted that President Obama knew what he was doing when he singled out Rush Limbaugh for criticism. Limbaugh, the irrational race-baiting loud mouth, and Steele, that of questionable ethical practices, would have to contest for the heart and soul of the Republican Party.
Meanwhile, the other "leader" Bobbi Jindal, ran off the cliff with his abysmal response to Obama's Congressional address last week.
This is just the beginning. It's going to get uglier as the Republicans indulge in political cannibalism.
Milton, are you denying or finding it insignificant that the TPLF attacked a federal army base...
