Liu Wins Key Endorsements

Liu was endorsed by both Rev. Daughtry and Councilman Barron, who are nationally-recognized civil rights leaders and are stalwart advocates for middle-class families and communities of color in New York.

Liu was endorsed by both Rev. Daughtry and Councilman Barron. Daughtry and Barron are nationally-recognized civil rights leaders and are stalwart advocates for middle-class families and communities of color in New York.

In 2001, Liu became the first Asian-American elected to legislative office in New York history when he became a member of the New York City Council, representing the Northeast Queens communities of Auburndale, Linden Hill, Fresh Meadows, Flushing, Queensborough Hills and Whitestone.
