[A State Sanctioned Murder]
In his last words Troy Anthony Davis claims his innocence. He asks his friends and family to "continue praying."
He had pronounced his innocence for more than 20 years when he was first convicted and sentenced to die. He was convicted of the shooting death August 19, 1989, of Savannah, Georgia, police officer Mark MacPhail.
He tells family of officer MacPhail that he did not have a gun that fateful day. Urges family of the officer to continue searching for the true killer.
"May God have mercy on your souls; may God bless your souls," Davis tells his executioners.
Davis is then lethaly injected at 10:53 PM. He's pronounced dead at 11:08 PM Eastern Time. Takes 15 minutes for him to be killed.....
NAACP's Ben Jealous says he believes Georgia executed innocent man.
Milton, are you denying or finding it insignificant that the TPLF attacked a federal army base...
