Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the pastor whose motto is “Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian,” will appear at Salem United Methodist Church, 129th Street, Malcolm X Blvd. in Harlem on Saturday, November 14th at 1:P.M. as CEMOTAP’s keynote speaker. 

Dr. Adelaide Sanford will respond to his message.

Rev. Wright is heralded internationally for his fiery spiritual oratory and his remarkable body of work while pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. During his pastorate he oversaw 70 ministries that included Prison Ministries, an African Ministry, Information Technology Ministry and a Sisterhood and domestic violence advocacy.

He personally created a “Million for the Master” organization of men based on the concept of the Million Man March. Under his direction, in 1997 Trinity built a worship center with a capacity of 2700. Dr. Wright is also the pastor who served as the spiritual advisor to President Barak Obama for 20 years. 

His address will center on the role that electronic and print media has in the lives of African people.  The outspoken, charismatic theologian is known for speaking truth to power. It is expected that his message will resonate with power and truth.  The church doors will open at 12 noon.
