[Uganda Election Update]

Information reaching The Black Star News originating from a source well-connected with the Ugandan presidency states that the authorities in Uganda will annouce that incumbent President Gen. Yoweri K. Museveni has won the Feb. 18 election with 67.2%  of the votes. The source says there is a central command center "where the rigging is being coordinated."

50%-plus would mean that the incumbent would not face a run off. The leading presidential contender is Dr. Kizza Besigye, leader of the FDC.
