Bridgehampton Benefit will honor Carlos Beltran--and raise fund to help Puerto Ricans who are still struggling from the devastation from Hurricane Maria

Tonight, 7\27, there will be a Bridgehampton Benefit in honor of former Mets, and Yankees, baseball player Carlos Beltran. The event will also serve as a fundraiser to support "Operation Rise-Up an initiative "to help Puerto Rico receive much needed medical care after the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria on their hospitals’ infrastructure."

The event will be held from 6: 00 to 11:00 PM at the Southampton Art Center, at 25 Jobs Lane, Southampton NY.

Born in Manati, Puerto Rico, Carlos Beltran, know for his impressive career as a Major League Ballplayer and widely known for his tremendous humanitarian work, has personally funded and continues to support, relief efforts in his hometown.

The Carlos Beltran Foundation (Fundacion Carlos Beltran) (CBF) donated $1 million to Puerto Rico after the devastation of Hurricane Maria and helped raise nearly $400,000 more through an online charity drive.

It has been over a year, but much is still needed. This need is the heart of our mission as we continue to help Puerto Rico “Rise Up”.

Roughly over a year since Hurricane Maria ripped across Puerto Rico, the island's healthcare infrastructure appears to still be years away from recovery. The Carlos Beltran Foundation (The CBF) is a non-profit organization focused on the revitalization of Puerto Rico through disaster relief, education and sports, has planned this long-term project to work with struggling hospitals in the hardest hit areas to provide support where it is needed the most.

Zimmerman, an avid philanthropist, has cultivated the Bridgehampton Benefit to promote humanitarian organizations and to help raise awareness for charitable institutions by organizing and hosting this exclusive charity event in the Hamptons.
