Darryl Hamilton, a former MLB outfielder and analyst for MLB Network, was found dead on Sunday after a suspected murder-suicide, according to a report from the Houston Chronicle.

Hamilton had reportedly been shot several times when his body was discovered in his home.

Police arrived at the former star player's home after receiving a 9-11 call of an emergency. They discovered Hamilton's body in the entryway of his home, and later discovered the body of his 44-year-old girlfriend, Monica Jordan, in another part of the home.

According to the report, Hamilton was shot numerous times and Jordan, his live-in girlfriend, apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The couple's 14-month-old child was also found unharmed in the home.

Hamilton played in the big leagues for parts of 13 seasons, mostly notably with the Milwaukee Brewers in the early 1990s. He also spent time with the New York Mets, Colorado Rockies, San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers before his career ended in 2001.

He continued to work in baseball but not as a player. He hosted an MLB radio show, then became a part-time analyst for the Brewers and Angels before landing his recent role as an analyst on the MLB Network.

Hamilton was 50 years old.
