The Milwaukee Bucks NBA team and LeBron James are speaking out against last Sunday's shooting on Jacob Blake by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The Bucks released the following statement:

"The Bucks organization is praying for the recovery of Jacob Blake, who was shot multiple times in the back by a police officer at point-blank range in Kenosha, Wisconsin yesterday. Our hearts go out to his family and friends. We stand firmly against reoccurring issues of excessive use of force and immediate escalation when engaging the Black community.

"Our organization will continue to stand for all Black lives as we demand accountability and systemic change on behalf of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Sylville Smith, Ernest Lacy, Dontre Hamilton, Tony Robinson, Joel Acevedo and countless other victims. We will work to enact policy change so these incidents no longer exist."

Several NBA players have also denounced this latest episode of racist police violence, including NBA superstar LeBron James who was furious when he heard of Blake's shooting.

James in a tweet said, "And y’all wonder why we say what we say about the Police!! Someone please tell me WTF is this???!!!" This sh*t is so wrong and so sad!! Feel so sorry for him, his family and OUR PEOPLE!! We want JUSTICE"

In a post-game interview, after the Lakers defeated the Portland Trailblazers, James said "Having 2 boys of my own and me being an African-American in America and to see what continues to happen with the police brutality towards my kind ... it's very troubling."

James also talked about voting Donald Trump out of office in November.

"We can have some change, and I believe it starts with November ... but it doesn't stop there, even with whoever comes next."
