(Eli Manning...big brother Payton sang his praises).

Payton Manning said “That’s my little brother out there,” prior to the now famous, “Manning Bowl”, played last Sunday night at Giants stadium, the Indianapolis Colts vs. the New York Giants. Manning stood in the runway at Giants stadium.

The elder Manning said this was the first time he'd ever seen his brother play live since he joined the NFL. The Colts win was not him beating his little brother but simply, "the Colts beating the Giants," a point he made clear and often to the media. What did he see and like about his brother’s play? Well he first remarked: “He’s just as cool as he looks on TV.”

He also spoke of Eli' s, "quick release." And that special gift of stepping up in the pocket, “into the right place," big brother remarked. "He looked pretty awesome at quarterback," Payton added about his brother’s play. He spoke about, "his good quick release." He said the game was special.

In fact, little brother threw for one more touchdown than did his big brother but when the smoke had cleared, the Colts once again were the winners. 26-21. On The Bench: Jeremy Shockey always seems to not only get an opening day touchdown but in the right part of the in zone to donate the ball to a worthy cause and make the event even more special.

Last year his first touchdown grab of the season, he gave the ball to one of the visiting English police officers. This year some soldiers were there, one got the ball; they all got a hug. The kid is special. Peyton Manning threw for more yards than his younger brother in the Colts win, 276 vs. 247 yards. They both got picked once but Eli had the better overall rating, 88.7 vs. 78.9. Eli was 20-34 for, Peyton went 25-41. Peyton said the game had a special aura about it.
