As the Clinton campaign revamped and expanded its statewide leadership council to ensure Secretary Clinton and down-ballot candidates throughout the Empire State win big on Election Day, NYS Democratic Committee Chairman and Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown pleaded with voters to get out there and vote.

“The stakes this election couldn’t be higher,” he said. “New York and the entire country will be stronger together under Hillary Clinton or divided under Donald Trump. I am proud to be a member of the Victory Leaders Council, and promise to continue working every day to help elect the only candidate with the experience and temperament necessary to be commander-in-chief.”

Mayor Brown wasn’t the only political figure hitting the streets and raising campaign awareness. Mayor Bill de Blasio urged New Yorkers to consider Clinton’s past experience: “Whether it’s passing equal pay for equal work or making college debt-free for all Americans, Secretary Clinton is dedicated to enacting the most progressive policy platform in generations,” the mayor said. “But we need to turn red states blue and elect Democratic state houses across the country if we’re going to make that happen.”

“Winning elections up and down the ballot this November will be a central part of ensuring the Empire State remains the progressive capital of the country and Hillary Clinton has the support she needs to enact her agenda in the White House,” said Governor Andrew M. Cuomo in a press release.

Mayor Brown, who has been a steadfast supporter of Hillary Clinton since her days as a U.S. Senator for New York, told reporters, “We want to leave here as a New York delegation, unified, fired up, energized to help elect Hillary Clinton the next President of the United States of America,”
