Wednesday, the Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC), a committee affiliated with the Congressional Progressive Caucus, announced their endorsement of the Democratic nominee and likely next Representative from New York’s 16th District, Jamaal Bowman.
CPC PAC’s endorsement follows the groundbreaking endorsement Jamaal received from former President Barack Obama earlier this week.
“Jamaal Bowman is a progressive champion who knows that bold solutions are required to meet the challenges that working families across this country face,” said CPC PAC Co-Chairs Pramila Jayapal, Mark Pocan, and Jamie Raskin. “His vision for change and his work as an educator and a leader for New York teachers, students, and families bring a critical and necessary voice to the progressive movement. The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC is proud to endorse his campaign and we look forward to working alongside him in Congress.”

CPC PAC has a mission of electing strong, progressive leaders to Congress who share the PAC’s vision including fighting for budgets that invest in America, protecting and expanding social security, supporting the rise of the minimum wage, fighting for campaign finance reform, and demanding health care as a human right.

About Jamaal Bowman
Jamaal Bowman is the Democratic nominee and likely next Member of Congress in New York’s 16th District, representing parts of Westchester County and the Bronx. Dr. Bowman has been an educator and advocate for public schools for over 20 years and most recently served as principal for the Cornerstone Academy for Social Action (CASA), a public middle school he founded in 2009 in the Baychester neighborhood of The Bronx. He is a life-long New Yorker who now lives in Yonkers with his wife and their three kids.
