Kelly Loeffler poses in smiling picture with KKK leader Chester Doles who pled guilty, in 1993, to assaulting a Black man, Charles Peters–because he was riding in a truck with a white woman.

Georgia GOP Sen. Kelly Loeffler’s campaign disavowed a photo spreading on social media of her smiling next to a White supremacist at a campaign event on Friday, as her Democratic opponent and others criticized her for it ahead of the January 5 runoff elections for control of the U.S. Senate, where Loeffler is running against Rev. Raphael Warnock.

The photo shows Loeffler posing next to Chester Doles, a former Ku Klux Klan leader and member of the neo-Nazi National Alliance who was sentenced to prison in the 1990s for assaulting a Black man in Maryland.

Doles marched in the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, with the Hammerskins, a racist skinhead gang.

Editor’s Note: Much noise is being made now by Republicans, and right-wing media outlets, about Rev. Raphael Warnock being a “radical,” who supposedly hates Israel. But there is a telling silence by these folks regarding Loeffler’s comradery with white supremacist racists like Chester Doles.

It should be noted that this isn’t the first time Doles has been connected to the Loeffler campaign. In September, he was reportedly removed from a campaign rally where Loeffler was a featured speaker. Yet, she is pretending not to know who Doles is now for political expedience.

Much of the controversy regarding the selfie Loeffler took with Doles started when progressive Jewish group Bend the Arch retweeted the photo on Sunday. The photo was taken last Friday. Bend The Arc stated “This is who [Loeffler] is appealing to.”

Kelly Loeffler made it clear earlier this year that she doesn’t support the emerging social justice activism of sports figures seeking fairness in America. She railed against the platform protests of WNBA players, and others, in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder.

She is also known to be hostile to the rights of LGBTQ Americans.

Hypocritical, as a WNBA owner, (Atlanta Dream) Loeffler has made money from the very groups she fights against with racist discriminatory political policies within the GOP.
