Fernando Mateo, entrepreneur and head spokesman for Hispanics Across America, NYS Federation of Taxi Drivers and United Bodegas of America, will announce his historic run for New York City Mayor this Wednesday.

Mateo will announce his candidacy for New York City Mayor in the heart of Dyckman’s restaurant district at 223 Dyckman Street on Wednesday, February 3, at 11:00 am.

Mateo will unveil his plan to breathe new life into the City’s failing business districts while outlining new protections for small businesses and working-class families as the City’s first Hispanic immigrant candidate for Mayor.

“Make no mistake, it’s not about Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Conservatives or Liberals—it’s about who is clear on the policies that will govern the future of NYC. Together we will Fix NYC,” said Mateo.

Small business owners, taxi drivers, bodega owners, restaurateurs, teachers, city workers, local civic leaders, community stakeholders and others will join to support Mateo mayoral candidacy on Wednesday.

Mateo reportedly has described himself as an “urban Republican.”
