Donald Trump has just been fired from the White House and has been replaced by Joe Biden.

Former Vice-President Joe Biden is now President-Elect Joe Biden, after the call was made that he won Pennsylvania's 20 Electoral votes pushing him over the 270 Electoral College vote threshold needed to become president.

Biden's victory ends one of the most tumultuous presidencies in American history.

Several networks and newspapers including NBC, CNN, The New York Times, The Hill, The Guardian, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times. and the Associated Press called the race for Biden around 11:30 AM on Saturday November, 7th.

The former Delaware senator, who served as the vice-president under President Barack Obama secured the victory when the race was called in his favor in Pennsylvania which catapulted Biden pass the 270 Electoral vote threshold.

The call came after days of nail-biting drama as the nation awaited the answer to the 2020 presidential race which has been fraught with anxiety and controversy.

The delayed declaration of Biden's win has rankled some who felt the announcement should’ve already been made because of Biden significant margin in the state of Pennsylvania which was already insurmountable.

As everything in 2020, this election has been marred by the disruption caused by COVID-19. Because of the health concerns, many voters--mostly Democrats--voted though mail ballots.

This caused major problems since many states were not used to processing a high volume of mail ballots. This also was compounded by the fact that some states--especially, those controlled by Republicans--did not allow the counting of those ballots until Election Day, even when a significant amount of these ballots were received well before the election.

Reportedly, Donald Trump was on his way to a Virginia golf course when the announcement of Joe Biden ascension to the White House was being confirmed.

Joe Biden will now become the 46th President of the United States after running for the presidency several times since 1988.
