For years, these phony “law and order” and “rules of law” Republicans have been ignoring all the murders of Black people by police. They have the blood of many dead Black people on their hands.

Wilmington Police Chief Donny Williams announces firing of Cpl. Jessie Moore, and Officers Kevin Piner and Brian Gilmore–Piner was recorded saying he wanted to commit mass murder against Blacks.

The killer-cop murderers of Blacks on America’s police departments have still not learned their lessons–even after the uprisings that have occurred in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder.

This is why we need real meaningful legislation to redress racist police violence and murder. Accountability and transparency must be enshrined in any legislation now being considered in the American Congress. Weak piecemeal legislation will do nothing to arrest the bigoted brutal behavior many cops have towards Black people.

Even now, after this year’s murders of George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery, some officers are openly fantasizing about using their badges and “license to kill” to commit genocide against Black Americans.

We are now hearing news about three police officers, in North Carolina, who were recently fired after a racist recording surfaced where one officer was salivating that the police protests might lead to a civil war–which would allow officers like himself to slaughter more Black people.

The Wilmington Police Department took action on Tuesday against Cpl. Jessie Moore, and Officers Kevin Piner and Brian Gilmore after racist recordings were discovered.

Officer Piner’s comments on the recordings are particularly incendiary.

Officer Piner is heard saying he was going to buy a new assault rifle so “we are just going to go out and start slaughtering them (expletive)” Blacks. “I can’t wait. God, I can’t wait.” Piner is heard telling Officer Moore he felt a civil war was needed to “wipe them [Blacks] off the (expletive) map. That’ll put them back about four or five generations.”

Some will, no doubt, claim these are just more “bad apples.”

At this very moment, the U.S. Congress is engaged in a debate regarding changing the toxic institutional racism in policing. However, it is quite clear the police protests in the streets must continue and protesters must keep the pressure on politicians–including at the ballot box.

Yesterday, in the Senate, the Democrats, rightly, blocked the fake “Justice Act” pushed by Republican ass-kissing Senator Tim Scott. Since when is Senator Scott a champion of Black people? Republicans apparently think Scott’s Black skin will fool us into the illusion that he somehow represents the interests of Black America–and not his own political interests.

Scott’s bill, assuming you really believe it is his, would do nothing to hold racist murderous police accountable. His bill basically begs police to please behave and treat Black people better. It does nothing to address things like “Qualified Immunity” and “No-Knock Warrants.” It does nothing to reduce the bloated budgets of police. What does it say about our leaders when they give more money to police departments while reducing the budgets of housing departments?

The false notion that the problem with policing has nothing to do with institutional racism (and is just a problem of a few rogue cops) has been debunked by the sheer volumes of the murders we have witnessed on video. History also tells us American policing policy has always been about victimizing and terrorizing Black people.

Congressional Republicans are now pushing this superficial bill because of the waves of protests in America and around the world. They are pretending to do something with their do-nothing bill. For years, these phony “law and order” and “rule of law” Republicans have ignored the murders of Black people by police.

There is much blood on their hands. They are just as guilty as the killer-cops they are still slyly trying to protect.

The “George Floyd Justice in Policing Act,” being championed by House Democrats, is a much more honest bill in starting the process of restructuring policing.

The phony Republican bill will do nothing to stop killer-cops like Derek Chauvin, Garrett Rolfe–or the wannabe genocidal killer and now former North Carolina officer Kevin Piner.
