On Saturday March 20, 2021 The New Black Panther Party, Black Lawyers for Justice and other national leaders, lawyers, community activists and self-defense groups will take to the streets in Norfolk (VA) communities.

The New Black Panther Party will be joined by national attorney Malik Z. Shabazz, Esq. of Black Lawyers for Justice who will conduct legal training against police brutality, at 11 AM and legal field training during the walk. The walk begins at 1 PM at the Conscious Planet – 2718 Grandby Street.

This major community Black Unity Walk-March for Black Power will take place to combat community violence, police abuse, gentrification, and jobs. A news conference was held at the Pollard Street Playground (913 Pollard Street) on Monday, March 8, 2021 where community activists announced their community walk-march and “A call to stop the violence. The New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense has partnered with other activists for a community outreach walk against community violence and police brutality in Norfolk.

“We are out here, [in] solidarity with other organizations, because we have issues in this area that we are trying to address and fix.” said Sister Chuma.
