Mitch McConnell Reelected to U.S. Senate by Kentucky Voters

As America awaits the main 2020 Election result, regarding whether Joe Biden will defeat Donald Trump, a few prominent Republicans, including current Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have retained their seats.

Senator McConnell is heading back to the U.S. Senate after beating Democratic challenger Amy McGrath (a former Marine fighter pilot, 58.1% to 37.9% McConnell received 1,163,223 votes to McGrath’s 759,700.

Third party Libertarian candidate Brad Barron received 4% percent of the vote equaling 79,199 votes.

McConnell said the following after his win: “Kentucky, I’m humbled and grateful that you’ve rehired me to keep fighting for your families and serving our commonwealth for the next six years.”
