Sharpton, Community Leaders Launch Voter Participation Campaign

Harlem, NY – (May 21, 2021) Rev. Al Sharpton, Hazel Dukes, Rev. Al Cockfield and various leaders across New York City and State’s civil rights community will gather at the headquarters of the National Action Network (NAN) for the kick-off of Show Up, Turn Out, a new 501c4 focused on encouraging voters who participated in the 2020 presidential election to vote future elections and in the upcoming June 22nd New York City primary elections particularly.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the National Action Network’s House of Justice, in Harlem, at 106 West 145th Street and Malcolm X Blvd, starting at 9:00 am.

Show Up, Turn Out has also released a PSA video which will be released on social media and the web.

Participants will include:

  • Rev. Al Sharpton, President and Founder, National Action Network
  • Hazel Dukes, President of the NAACP New York State Conference
  • Rev. Johnnie Green, Senior Pastor, Mount Neboh Baptist Church, CEO of Mobilizing Preachers and Communities (MPAC)
  • Rev. Al Cockfield, Pastor, God’s Battalion of Prayer Church
